The Nigerian Army’s Headquarters 3 Division has taken a notable step to honor exceptional service by presenting electric motorcycles to outstanding soldiers. This initiative,held on December 4,2024,at Maxwell Khobe Cantonment in Jos,was presided over by Major General AE Abubakar. He emphasized the importance of this program in enhancing troop welfare and operational efficiency while aligning with the Chief of Army staff’s vision.

- Specifications: These eco-amiable vehicles can reach speeds up to 40 km/h and travel up to 100 km on a two-hour charge.
- Cost Reduction: The initiative is designed to lower transportation costs for personnel within the cantonment.
A dedicated charging facility has been established at Headquarters, ensuring easy access for soldiers using these motorcycles.
Ongoing Welfare Initiatives
In addition to the motorcycle program, other welfare projects have been launched by Army Headquarters. These include:
- Renovation and construction of accommodations
- Progress of office complexes
- Provision of essential resources for personnel support
