Chinese tech firm DreamSmart on Wednesday launched a series of new products at its AI Ecosystem Launch Event, including the Meizu Lucky 08 AI smartphone, AR smart glasses StarV View and StarV Air2, the smart ring StarV Ring2, and the Z10 STARBUFF esports edition vehicle jointly created with Lynk & Co.
DreamSmart’s chief operating officer Liao Qinghong said during the event that the company will establish parallel brands, Star and Meizu while fostering an ecosystem that supports the development of three categories: smartphones, smart glasses, and smart vehicles.

- The STARBUFF esports vehicle allows users to enjoy computer games from the back seat with high-end gaming specs like AMD V2000A automotive-grade system chip.
- The StarV Air2 are waveguide display glasses supporting real-time translation into 13 languages along with meeting recording features.
- The StarV View AR offers an immersive screen experience designed for nearsighted users allowing individual adjustments for each eye ranging from 0 to 600 degrees.
- The StarV Ring2 supports high blood sugar risk assessment enabling connectivity across multiple devices offering sleep stress monitoring temperature tracking among other health metrics.
A Bold New Direction
Context: In February DreamSmart announced its All in AI strategy halting work on traditional smartphones transitioning from a smartphone company to what it called an ecosystem group.
